[Zack is hanging around the shop plaza, doing a little investigating to try and see if there's anything special about the place now. If the supposed portal is going to open there, he's curious to know if there's anything in the area that's changed. You might find him poking at the fountain, circling the sunken well, stopping and crouching down to check the ground beneath the snow sometimes. He's pretty focused on his work, though it probably looks strange.

[Cloud glances around before setting Zack down and pulling him into a little copse of trees nearby. It's not far to their house from the plaza, but Zack is protesting and he's awkward to carry anyway.

Once they're out of sight Cloud grabs a handful of his jacket and tugs him down for a quick kiss.]

...I was gonna do that instead of mess with your hair, but. Well.

[Oh, hey. No protests there.] Guess I'll have to forgive you, huh?

Yeah, I should be the one forgiving you. [Another one.] Mm- since I said I wouldn't leave and you didn't believe me. [And another. A little longer for that one.]

[He can't quite respond to that one because he's busy kissing you, Cloud.]

[Fff well that means Cloud wins by default. They're going to have to break for air eventually though.

...and enter that extremely awkward moment where one or both parties wonders if they should kiss again or move on.]

[Zack pauses, eyes shifting between Cloud's eyes and his mouth for a long moment.] ...Inside? [Whether they keep kissing or not, he knows Cloud is more comfortable out of sight.]

[Cloud licks his lips nervously and nods.] Yeah. [Heading over for the house now, these are power strides he's using.]

[Zack stifles his laughter - don't make Cloud huffy now - and follows at the same pace. Someone's eager, but nobody can blame him.]

[Honestly Cloud just wants to book it in case someone starts wondering why the heck there were two men hiding in the trees. Or if for some random reason Cid stops by and sees.

Oh God if Cid finds out. He'd never live it down.

All right, enough thinking about that old fart. They get inside the house and after Cloud closes the door and toes off his boots he glances back over at Zack as he shrugs out of his jacket...still unsure. Should he kiss him again...? The only time they've really kissed since Cloud suggested they try again about a month ago was when they were on the mountain. ...would having a nice makeout session count as moving too fast?]

[And Zack's not thinking about it at all, so he kicks his boots off, tosses his jacket at the nearest chair, and pushes Cloud against the first wall that his back can hit. C'mere.]

Cloud lets out a surprised breath -he really hadn't been expecting it- but soon enough his hands are in Zack's hair and he's kissing back with just as much fervor. Yyyyeah, he'd missed this. Maybe just a little, anyway, but hell Zack is a good kisser.]

[Zack's probably showing how happy he is that they're even touching like this again, let alone making out. Good luck getting him to stop anytime soon, Mister Take-it-slow.]

[Alas, that ever important breathing thing needs to happen so often, so as enjoyable as this is some time or another they'll have to come up for air. By that time Cloud's face is fire engine red and his hands are a little shaky as they sift one last time through Zack's line of sight, still struggling to catch his breath, before closing his eyes and resting his forehead against Zack's.]

[Damn breathing. It's so annoying. 8| Zack shivers, eyes closed, and shifts his head to press his lips to Cloud's forehead as he breathes deeply through his nose, voice a mumble.] Y'okay?

[That puts Cloud at perfect neck height, which is where he usually is.

...tilting his head to kiss Zack's throat.]

Zack mumbles into his hair and grips his back. Self-control, self-control...]

But Cloud is not probably not helping, considering he's working his way over Zack's neck up to his jaw and nipping lightly. He's on autopilot.]

He's not helping at all, and Zack's pretty happy about this, so unless there are any signs of it escalating, he'll just... let it continue. Maybe add his own little flare to it by scratching his nails lightly against the back of Cloud's neck.]

[Cloud's shoulders tense at the sensation, and one hand stays at the back of his neck while the other moves to hook a finger in the collar of Zack's shirt, tugging it aside so he can work on putting a mark on the muscle at the junction of his neck and shoulder.]

[A quiet yet intense noise escapes Zack's lips, and he pauses, hand slowly stroking down Cloud's back. Just how far should they let this go before Cloud ends up frustrated?

Before he gets frustrated, at that.

[Cloud stops at the sound and the feel of Zack's hand on his back, taking a moment to catch his breath again and screws his eyes shut. He hides his face against Zack's neck; his cheeks are burning.

"Maybe we should stop," is on the tip of his tongue, but he really, really doesn't want to say it.]
