[Zack is hanging around the shop plaza, doing a little investigating to try and see if there's anything special about the place now. If the supposed portal is going to open there, he's curious to know if there's anything in the area that's changed. You might find him poking at the fountain, circling the sunken well, stopping and crouching down to check the ground beneath the snow sometimes. He's pretty focused on his work, though it probably looks strange.

[Zack sighs heatedly against Cloud's skin, trembling faintly.] S... slow down... slow down... [He's saying it more out of necessity than desire. He'd love to go all the way and then some, but he has no idea where Cloud stands.]

[It takes Cloud a second to wind down enough -Zack's breath on his neck is not helping, and then Cloud shakes his head lightly, dropping his forehead onto Zack's shoulder with a regretful snort.] ...I should probably just go take a cold shower.

[Zack closes his eyes, sliding his hands away from Cloud and pressing a palm against his face.] ...Dammit. Probably... [He pointedly does not say he might just be in his room for a while.]

[Despite what he's saying, Cloud isn't pushing away. His fingers absently trace the line of Zack's waistband.]

[Eventually though, Cloud does convince himself to back off. He places one last kiss to the side of Zack's neck before moving away and sinking down to sit on the couch, elbows on his knees and head in his hands. Damn.]

[....Sigh. Well, it's probably for the best, despite how he feels about the matter. He stays put, sliding down the wall to crouch against it, scuffing a hand through his hair.] So how soon is too soon, anyway?

A month probably counts as "too soon." [Cloud's voice is muffled since he doesn't bother lifting his head. A tiny voice asks him why he's bothering to punish them both like this, but another argues that he deserves it, even if Zack doesn't.

Or maybe he's just trying to prove something to himself.

Though it's not really fair of him to yank Zack back and forth with all this, either. Sorry, Zack.]

No- sorry. It's not. Just...kind of makes me feel like a kid. "No kissing the neck, keep the hands above the waist." [He gestures weakly; he'd never had these sort of rules, since the odds of him getting a girlfriend were so low that his own mother would probably have resorted to pimping him out in a year or two.]
