Just checking in to see if you've got the details for the Brave Vesperia job. Yuri's back, so he'll probably be taking over soon, but I figure I may as well handle this one first.

[AND WITH THAT DONE... Since Cloud's arrival, Zack has been giving some serious thought to his weaponry. With Cloud trying to stake his claim on the Buster sword, and Zack needing some way to break the tension, it's probably about time to make a peace offering. First things first, though- he heads over to the weapon shop to visit a blacksmith. After that, he'll head to Cloud's apartment, Buster sword in hand.

That makes sense, I guess. [Even just from Pao-lin's own world, legal drinking ages were different across countries. Still, she's not exactly chomping at the bit to try the stuff. I actually just passed my one-year anniversary! Pretty crazy, huh?

I've only been here since the middle of September...but when I think back on everything that's happened, it feels like forever. [She uses her straw to scoop some of the whipped cream into her mouth.]

You kinda get used to it, I hate to say.

Well...at least things aren't as bad as they could be, right? [Aside from the whole "moon falling on Luceti but not really" deal.]

Yeah, I can't really complain. Actually, besides the occasional weird stuff that happens, I like it here.

It's pretty comfortable when there's not an experiment going on or anything like that! I still kinda miss the city, though.

Did you live in a big city on your world, then?

Yep! It's located on a small island, so the city's built on three levels to accomodate everyone.

Hey, that's kind of what my city's like! Not the island part, but Midgar had two levels to keep things nice and compact.

Oh, really? I don't think there are other cities like Sternbild in my world. [She simpers.] I think it's cool that we have multiple levels, but it becomes a problem if someone destroys the support columns for each of the stages. [Like what the Ourobots tried to do during the whole thing with Jake Martinez.]

Ah... yeah, I've heard of that kind of thing happening. [Though it's only supposed to happen in his future.] It makes life kind of risky for the people living in the lower levels.

Well, it'd be dangerous for anyone, don't you think?

Yeah, I guess that's true. I think the plates of the city are pretty tough to bring down, though, so it's pretty secure as far as I know.

Well, that's good. I don't know much about how Sternbild was built, myself, but I guess it's pretty safe. [She stares at her milkshake.] Though about two years ago, someone threatened to destroy the support columns if we didn't release one of their friends from prison. That was pretty scary.

Whoa, sounds like it! Were the authorities, or police, or whatever you've got over there able to stop it from happening?

Yeah, everything was all right in the end! Me and a few other friends of mine disabled the robots that were gonna destroy the pillars, and then two other friends defeated the mastermind behind the whole plan.

Ah! So you got to be a hero and save the town, then!

Of course! Being a Hero is my job back home!

Your job? Seriously?
