Just checking in to see if you've got the details for the Brave Vesperia job. Yuri's back, so he'll probably be taking over soon, but I figure I may as well handle this one first.


[AND WITH THAT DONE... Since Cloud's arrival, Zack has been giving some serious thought to his weaponry. With Cloud trying to stake his claim on the Buster sword, and Zack needing some way to break the tension, it's probably about time to make a peace offering. First things first, though- he heads over to the weapon shop to visit a blacksmith. After that, he'll head to Cloud's apartment, Buster sword in hand.

[Sokka is in the smithy being sad because Yue is gone, okay. But mostly he's just keeping to himself. Things are still kind of weird with Winry and he's just not his usual Sokka-ish himself when he's by himself. Since the smithy is empty save for him, Zack may need to actually go to the workshop area. That's where you'll find him, sharpening an ax on a mechanical grinder.]

[No blacksmith in sight is kind of disappointing, but the noise is a good indicator that someone's at work, so after a bit of poking around he peers into the work area, rapping his knuckles on the door frame, shouting so Sokka can (hopefully) hear him.]

Hey, Sokka, are you on the clock?

[He stops what he's doing to look up, then pulls his safety goggles up. Zack? At the smithy?]

Uh. Yeah. Which means I'm not on the Brave Vesperia 'clock'.

That's okay, I need you on the smithy clock. Are you available for a commission?

Commission? I don't know, Zack. I'm pretty much buried in work and never have time to myself. [Yeah that's sarcasm.] So what do you need?

[Har har. What a punk. He doesn't look too bothered by it, though.]

I need a sword. ...Okay, I need a few swords.

[Zack fishes into his pocket, pulling out a sheet of paper (more or less like that) and offering it out to Sokka.]

That's no a commission! That's ordering an armory!

It's not that bad. [...Okay so it kind of is.] It's just six swords that combine into one!

Do you have any idea how long that will take? And why would you even want that! That's not even kind of practical!

[He shrugs.] It's practical enough for a SOLDIER. I don't mind if it takes a while to make it, either- I just wanna know if you can.

Sure I can make it. But. It's definitely going to take a while.

[And for something this extravagant, he might put it to the side if he gets more pressing and uh, normal orders.]

... at least a month? [Between experiments and missions and kidnappings and having your ex go home to die, it's hard to time these things.] Maybe more.

Whoa, seriously? [He expected it to take a lot longer than that, actually. Sweet.] Awesome! Just let me know if you've got any questions about the design, and lemme know when it's done. ...Oh, and don't worry a thing about the weight! What matters most to me is the durability.

[The idea of getting First Tsurugi is seriously dampening the blow of losing the Buster sword. Sure, it's an important heirloom, and a familiar comrade to him by now, but... if it's meant to be passed on to Cloud, then maybe it's time. Getting on Cloud's good side - and perhaps, someday, becoming friends - is more important than the sword. ...But only a little.
