Man, why does she have to be gone when things get exciting...?

[Bleh. Zack's feeling bummed and alone while Aerith's kidnapped, so~ distractions go.]

So what kind of cool stuff did you guys get from the Malnosso? Anybody get a working cell phone? Can't find a signal anywhere.

[Locked from the usual bad guys]

Okay, the real reason for this is that... well, Cloud and I were talking, and something came up that we think should be dealt with before another fight outside the barrier starts up. I don't know why the Malnosso wants to send kids over there, but I think it's important that we organize some kind of defense for 'em if it happens again. If some of you hero-types agree to buddy up with the kids that get sent over, they'd be safer, right? They'd at least have someone watching their backs.

I know some of you younger guys probably think you're strong and can handle anything, and that's fine, but... well, I don't really think it's right for kids to be killing people, and I don't want to see any of you die, either.

Designating a part of each task force to protecting civilians sounds like the right idea. I'd be best out on the battlefield, but if it came to it, I'd be willing to hold back and keep them safe.
goldenglasses: (Why'd I have to get the hicky there?)

Seeing as they don't seem to take no as an answer, if I ever get sent out there I'll be sure to keep an eye on any kids that get sent with me. Considering how random the draft choices were I'm not sure how much organizing can really be planned.

[identity profile] wishesofdestiny.livejournal.com 2010-03-24 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
I agree it would be good for the children, but a buddy system of some sort should be implemented for all who go.

Awesome! Thanks for volunteering, even just saying you're available is a big help.
wingenvy: (never mind)

[personal profile] wingenvy 2010-03-24 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
Well, if we convince a whole bunch of people to agree to help out if they're sent over, then chances are somebody will be in the group who can help any kids they send with 'em!

Not a problem. It's what I do.

[personal profile] goldenglasses 2010-03-24 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
I hope so, kids really shouldn't be sent out there at all... let alone by themselves.
wingenvy: (and I'm feelin' good)

[personal profile] wingenvy 2010-03-24 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
That's true, too. Maybe once we start getting things organized we could make it a village-wide thing. Or when the lists get released, everybody can pick a partner or two and stay together.
wingenvy: (and a bold world for me)

[personal profile] wingenvy 2010-03-24 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think so, either. Kids should be kids, right? Not soldiers.

[personal profile] goldenglasses 2010-03-24 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly. They shouldn't even be here. [Something which Vash will probably never get over.] I mean, none of us should, but... they're kids.
wingenvy: (it's a beautiful new day)

Believe it or not, this place is actually better than what some people - even some kids - have to face back home. But it's still not fair for them to be fighting...

[identity profile] wishesofdestiny.livejournal.com 2010-03-24 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. We definitely do not need a repeat of someone going missing and not being aware of this for two days. Even the most capable of fighters can go down.
wingenvy: (i have no fucking clue)

[personal profile] wingenvy 2010-03-24 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
Can't argue with that. Especially when they're sending the crazy ones out with the good guys.
wingenvy: (mr blue you did it right)

Good idea. Whenever they send me out there, I'll keep an eye out for anyone stuck somewhere they shouldn't be, too.
goldenglasses: (What-a-what?)

[personal profile] goldenglasses 2010-03-24 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
No... I can believe it. This place is pretty nice if they'd just leave us alone instead of messing with our emotions and sending us out to fight.
wingenvy: (winky wink)

[personal profile] wingenvy 2010-03-24 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks, Yuri! Luceti can always count on Brave Vesperia, right?

I guess there's no such thing as a free ride.

[identity profile] wishesofdestiny.livejournal.com 2010-03-24 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
That really didn't seem to be too much a problem this time. It was actually odd to hear that we were with one of the most dangerous residents, but yet no reports of people being attacked by him.

Haha, if everything was free and easy, people might just sit around at home and get fat and lazy!

I guess that's true. At least there's no money here.

[He waves his phone at the camera thing in the journal-] There's no cell tower, of course that's the case.
wingenvy: (i swallowed a bug.)

[personal profile] wingenvy 2010-03-24 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
I guess it's better to send them out where they can kill without consequences... [He's still not happy about the whole 'killing a bunch of people just because' bit, but...]
chaincutter: (this mah hero pose)

[personal profile] chaincutter 2010-03-24 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
If I am there, I will stay close to them. I promise nothing more.
