[Zack is hanging around the shop plaza, doing a little investigating to try and see if there's anything special about the place now. If the supposed portal is going to open there, he's curious to know if there's anything in the area that's changed. You might find him poking at the fountain, circling the sunken well, stopping and crouching down to check the ground beneath the snow sometimes. He's pretty focused on his work, though it probably looks strange.

That's how we feel. There were too many things that weren't detailed, too many things left unsaid. And I don't want to take any sort of offer from them.

They could be just as evil as the ones who brought us here, or worse. They could be good. It's all too unclear.

What if the gate sends people to the Third Party to get sacrificed? I'm... really worried about that.

To be like Jacob? We don't even know how he arrived there. I'm worried, too... But it's not like we can just lock everyone up and throw away the key.

[It's frustrating to say that, and she shows it by tensing up and frowning to herself.] I just wish we could... talk them out of it, somehow. Or that this portal doesn't show up at all.

I'm not usually a downer, but... I dunno. it's nasty of them to give people hope and then disappoint them. If anything, I hope it does work. [It's safer than the alternatives, at least.]

Mm... [There are people who died there, including herself. What if they decide to return? They wouldn't be safe... But she'll try not to bring that up.]

Not sure I can answer that until we know what happens to the people who go through it. If it's just a lousy joke and they end up fine, there's nothing to do. But if they never come back...
