Hey, everyone, ears here!

I'm thinking that Good Spirits could really use some new options for what we serve here. Best way to keep a place alive is to stir things up, right? So I had a thought- I bet lots of worlds out there have different drinks that you can't find anywhere else, really unique mixes. Hell, even Luceti has a few now, right? Like Going Merry.

So basically I'd like it if we could get some drinks from other worlds mixed here! It doesn't have to be alcohol, either, anything's good. We can serve all kinds of stuff!

[Sup, world, guess who's trying to distract himself from his suddenly-missing co-worker? You should totally come to visit the bar and help out. ...Oh, and the bar menu really does need an expansion, so there's that, too.

Well, it's been pretty busy.

[It's a bit of an understatement, and it kinda shows through Ven's tone.]

[Oh, man, sure sounds like it. Zack's a little concerned already; can this poor kid ever catch a break?]

You okay? Or did something happen?

I'm fine. There's just something that happened back home that's kinda a mess.

Back home? The house you live in here, or home-home?

[He is perfectly happy to give the poor kid a distraction if he'd prefer.]

It's okay. I think talking about it's better than keeping it bottled up.

[He rubs his neck, trying to work this out.]

Anyway, it's got something to do with Vanitas.

Him again? That guy just lives to cause trouble, doesn't he?

Actually, he's not causing trouble this time.

[It's a little more complicated than that. Let's see if he can sum it up in a nutshell.]

Basically, when Vanitas came back, he couldn't see. I found him over by the school. He was starving himself out there, so I... kinda took him in. Better than to let him die again.

[And get even more crippled.]

I guess I just feel bad because a lot of people were hurt by him. They probably think he deserves to starve out there, and maybe he does, but I don't think anyone should go through that.

[Ven isn't vengeful by any means. He could never wish that kinda pain on anyone, good or bad.]

[...Aha. That's not what he expected to hear, exactly, but... well, it's what he'd expect Ven to do.]

Heh- yeah, that sounds like something you'd do. I don't blame you for that, though- I'd probably have done the same thing if it was me. Has it helped the problem at all?

Kinda. He hasn't hurt anybody; I'm more worried about him right now.

[Because revenge is a nasty little poison. It'd be easy to get back at Vanitas like this.]

I wish it was as easy as just asking people to be nice to him for a while.

Thanks, Zack. And I wish it'd be that easy, but it's hard to get past the stuff he did. He could've killed a whole bunch of people, and he hurt a whole bunch of my friends.

Yeah, that kind of history isn't going to be a walk in the park to deal with. Kinda the nature of the business. But hey, maybe if he's willing, some people will give him a chance.
