Hey Buffy, Meryl, got a question. There's a guy who came to Luceti a few months ago, Shizuo- he fell on the fountain, if you were around for that. He wants to work at the bar, and I said it'd be okay if he worked during my shifts. If you guys don't mind, I mean- let me know if it's a problem.

Readiness isn't exactly the issue. I mean -- honestly? I'm a pretty accomplished coper. But I've had this extra-generous offer for co-vacationing out by the beach which will be lovely even if it isn't really beach weather. And...well? It coinciding with the horribleness of the last ten days isn't such a bad coincidence at all. I'll be back in a few with my very bestest barmaid hat firmly in place.

So...who is this guy, anyway? What's he like?

His name's Shizuo, like I said, and he's kind of quiet- probably not the best socializer ever, admittedly. But he's got good bartending experience, and he knows a nice selection of mixes. I don't know much else about him, really, which is why I'm getting him to work during my shifts. That way if he ends up being trouble it's all on me.

I don't think he's a bad person, though. Not very chatty, but a good guy either way.

The strong and silently mysterious type. I know it well. Since he comes on your recommendation, I'm game.

Great! I'll let him know. He's pretty good looking too, if that makes it better. And a blond! It's like we're colour-coordinated now.

Can't argue with gaining a lunchable coworker. [ even if she is quietly off the market. ] We're gonna end up as the bar known for its very attractive staff. Not such a bad thing.

I could agree with a uniform so long as that uniform involved anything from Buffy Summers' closet. That's a uniform I could get behind.
