Hey Buffy, Meryl, got a question. There's a guy who came to Luceti a few months ago, Shizuo- he fell on the fountain, if you were around for that. He wants to work at the bar, and I said it'd be okay if he worked during my shifts. If you guys don't mind, I mean- let me know if it's a problem.

I'm not sure anything ever is. [ my bff is a dullahan, i can bend steel girders like paperclips, and izaya isn't dead yet. the world is full of bizarre things. ]

Zack takes a quick break to peruse the journal, chatting it up with some people before glancing back over to Shizuo.]

Looks like Buffy's okay with it, and Meryl wants to meet you so she'll come by tonight. You're in good shape to start working here.

[ ... ah, it's been a while. shizuo runs through the knowledge he once had on working in a bar, sifting the important information from the nonsense that he'd simply picked up from listening to the drunk and miserable prattle on. the important things didn't piss him off, and knowing that he had a job here and something to get out of the house was soothing in itself. ]

[He's been working here for a while, but he's still no expert, sadly. Though he does have books to teach himself mixing, now.]

I don't remember many myself... It's going to take some time to get used to this kind of work again. [ since smashing people is a bad thing in this line of work. ]

If you need a refresher, I keep a book under the counter just in case. [He gestures to a shelf not lined with glasses or bottles, where a couple of binders rest, waiting to be used.] How long ago were you a bartender?

About a year. [ he glances over at the book, casually jumping over the counter and pullng one binder off of the pile. as he's doing that, he offhandedly comments. ] With people from all different worlds here, there must be a lot of different drinks to memorize.

Yeah, there are, but it's been pretty fun learning them all, too. We've even invented a few over the years, so I've heard.
