Just wanted to let everyone know that Cloud's okay. He came home safe and is resting right now. Simon and Denzel, too.

Hey, uh, Tifa or Aerith, can I ask a favour of you guys?

Man, this place has been rough lately... I feel like we all need some kind of holiday. I'm baked.

Right, I'll take your word for it.

They eat greens, grass, and hay.

Really? Even though they're birds?

Really. It's pretty weird, huh? But convenient for us. Hay makes less of a mess.

Mmm, true. Seeds and insects would be a hassle.

All right, just show me to where you keep her things.

I keep a bag of greens in the hall closet - just a handful in her bowl, that's in the kitchen. Greens make her grow up nice and strong, but they speed things up, and I wanted to make sure she stayed small till well after winter passed.

Oh, did you mix it with grass and hay, then?

Yeah, it's mixed in. The closet's latched, though, so she can't get in and sneak extras. Chocobos can be pretty crafty sometimes.

Oh, that just means she's clever. [Guy grins down at Tammy.] Doesn't it? Just means you're brilliant.

[Zack chuckles as Tammy warbles her approval and rubs up against Guy's leg. Oh, she likes him.] Don't give my girl an ego.

Children need encouragement, Zack! [Guy calls cheerfully as he heads to the hallway to retrieve Tammy's food.]

[Tammy warks and flaps around eagerly. Hungry girl is hungry.] I encourage her plenty! You're taking it too far!

That's my job as babysitter. Your job is to be the mean father who suppresses her individuality by giving her a curfew. [Oh there they are. To the kitchen!]

No, that's the job of a grandparent. Babysitters do what the parents tell them to do.

I'm not being paid though. [Guy crouches and carefully fills her bowl, making sure not to spill it all over creation.]

[Zack watches briefly before going about cleaning up the kitchen. Housework is time-consuming.] I'd pay you if I had any money.

Well, you don't. [Cheerfully blunt, he is.] And I doubt our currency is the same. So you'll just have to let me spoil her.

If you spoil her too much, she'll stop loving me. [Tammy's all BRB STUFFING FACE]

Oh, I doubt that. She hasn't forgotten her Mama, as she?

They bond right after hatching. For her, that's impossible.

I'm sure things'll be fine. [Note the distinct lack of worry in Guy's voice.]

Probably, but we'll see. [Zack's not surprised, Guy isn't the type to worry about silly things like this.]

If this was all you were going to make me do, though...
