Hey, Brave Vesperia members- Zack here. I know that Estelle talked about disbanding the guild, but I think there's still a need for what we were here to do for the village. Karol left us all betters, and I got the feeling that disbanding isn't what he would've wanted. Maybe I'm wrong, but... it just doesn't feel like it.

Either way, I want to keep the group running, and I know I'm not the only one, either.

If you disagree and wanna bow out, that's fine- no hard feelings or anything. Just let me know which of you are going to stick around, so we can update the roster.

For everybody staying in the guild, we've got a commission job from the SOS Brigade! So keep your eyes peeled for the details, and I'll try to get them ASAP.

Light! Wanna meet in the Battle Dome this afternoon? Got a little surprise for you.

[Today (aside from, hopefully, a bit of afternoon fun with a certain lovely lady) Zack will be hanging out around Good Spirits, mostly, either working at the bar as usual or chilling outside, trying to teach the most wretched looking dog ever to live (AKA "Just Dog") how to fetch. And probably failing miserably. Why won't his dogs ever fetch 8| This is obviously Daisy's fault.]

Oh, he's not mine! He followed Shizuo to the bar one day and wouldn't leave. Little guy seems kind of fixated. Anyway, Shizuo said he couldn't take him in, so we sort of adopted him as the Bar Dog. He sleeps here. [He jerks a thumb towards the relatively-newly constructed doghouse at the front of the building.]

Huh. I'll have to see if he's a little more energetic around Shizuo. Not very spirited for a Good Spirits' mascot!

[ Despite that, she comes closer and kneels down to pet the dog, scratching behind his ear. ]

I think he's kind of old, too. Not sure. He was half-starved when we found him, so I figure it took him a while to recover.

Ohh... [ She frowns at hearing that, a little sad, but after looking at him more closely it eases. ] He seems like he's doing okay now. But don't let him wander off!

[ She settles in with the scritching and then looks over at Zack. ] Did you make the doghouse? [ Smiling juuust a little, because she remembers Zack and carpentry.

Lots and lots of carpentry. ]

Yep! When JD showed up and we decided the best place for him was here, I figured he'd need a home before the weather got too cold. He seems to like it, anyway.

Hehe, that was really nice of you. So that's his name, JD? Nice to meet you~ Do you know how to shake? [ She holds out her hand, but...

...Yup. He just gives a wuff as he checks if she has food in her hand. She doesn't, so he's not interested. ]

Mm, you really are an old boy. Just won't get excited for anything, will you?

Nothing about him is exciting, either. Even his name is boring- Shizuo called him JD because he's "Just Dog".

[Seriously this poor animal.]

You know, you're starting to look a bit ho-hum yourself. Maybe you're catching it from him, have you been at it too long? There's no teaching someone who doesn't want to learn.

[Oh dear, if it's showing up that much...]

...Yeah, I should probably give it a rest. I kind of wanted to surprise Shizuo with it, though, since JD's been too quiet to seem like much of a dog at all.

[ She nudges him with her arm, smiling. ] Maybe you're just setting the bar too high with your own energy.

Or maybe I'm not meant to be a dog trainer. Three dogs so far and the only one who'll fetch is Baldr. And I didn't teach him to!

Those numbers do speak for themselves! Guess you should stick to the doghouses.

Maybe I should get a cat. At least I wouldn't expect one of those to be trained.

I don't know, Zack. All the animals talk here, and cats are sassy enough without that.

Sassy, I can handle. It's the expectation of man's best friend turning into man's uncooperative moocher that gets me.

Oh he's no moocher. You said yourself, he's old! I'm sure he thinks he's retired from doing funny little tricks. [ This is assuming he ever did them in the first place BUT ANYWAY ]

So what else have you been up to?

[Yeaaaaaah anyway. This is a little awkward to bring up around his ex-girlfriend and all but... well, she is kind of the one who set them up. In a way.]

Kinda... trying to put together a date.

A real date? Because the Battle Dome doesn't count.

[ Unless you mess with the sims like Zack has but all Aerith knows is you guys keep sparring and what the heck, that is not dating. ]

Aaaand it's not a battle scenario. I thought I'd take her to see Loveless. You know, the play? It's really good.

[SEE? It's totally a date okay.]

[ She wasn't expecting that suggestion and though it sounds like date material, she shrugs, a touch bemused. ] I've never seen it...

[ Oooh. Her expression perks up as she gets it. ] Wait, you mean the simulators can do plays? Now I want to see what else they can do. [ Focusing on the point: ] Loveless is supposed to be pretty sweet...okay, that counts. It's a real date! So you have to be extra gentlemanly. Can you do that?

[Yay, he gets points for trying, at least! And approval of the "real date" is definitely good, too.]

Gentlemanly? What, more gentlemanly than I was with you?

[Because he's tried gentlemanly with Lightning before and she... doesn't exactly appreciate the gesture.]
